For roommates

A shared home.
A shared responsibility.

Keep the chores out of the group-chat scroll. Give your shared spaces a schedule, an assignee, and a next turn.

Make the agreement easy to find.

A message saying “someone should clean the bathroom” leaves plenty of room for confusion. A shared task with a due date and an assignee makes the next step clearer. Donetick keeps those responsibilities in one household Circle.

Rotate the jobs you all share.

For recurring chores, round-robin assignment cycles through the people you select. Share the kitchen reset, bathroom clean, or vacuuming without manually choosing the next person each time.

Illustrative rotation for three roommates. Adapt it to your home and collection schedule.

Agree on the routine before automating it.

Decide which spaces are shared, how often each job needs doing, and what counts as finished. Chore counts alone do not represent effort. A quick bin run and a bathroom clean may need different treatment in your agreement.

Get everyone into the same Circle.

One person creates the household routine and shares the Circle invite link or code. Each roommate signs in, submits a join request, and waits for a Circle administrator to approve it. Check the current hosted plans for your household’s member requirements.

A few more answers.

Can a chore rotate between three people?

Yes. Round-robin assignment rotates through the selected assignees. Your Circle needs enough member capacity for everyone; check the current hosted plan limits.

Can we see when a chore was last done?

Donetick records chore completions in its history. Available history and other limits can depend on your plan or installation.
