A list you both can see.
Remembering the bathroom needs cleaning, noticing the laundry, and keeping track of the next turn can become work in their own right. Donetick gives your household chores a shared place, with due dates, assignees, and completion history.
Start with the jobs that keep coming back.
Pick a handful of recurring chores together. Agree on what “done” looks like and when each job needs doing. Then assign them directly or set them to rotate.
| Chore | Example rhythm | Example split |
|---|---|---|
| Reset the kitchen | Daily | Take turns |
| Clean the bathroom | Weekly | Rotate each week |
| Wash the bedding | Weekly | Assign or rotate |
| Vacuum shared spaces | Weekly | Assign or rotate |
Illustrative schedule, not a rule for how often your home needs cleaning.
Use turns as a starting point, not a fairness score.
Taking turns makes responsibilities clearer. It does not mean every task takes the same effort, or that every week needs a perfect 50/50 split. Talk about your available time, preferences, and the work outside the list. Adjust the assignments together.
Bring your partner into the routine.
- Create your Donetick account and add a few household chores.
- Share your Circle’s invite link or code with your partner.
- They sign in or create an account and request to join.
- Approve their request so you can share tasks in the same Circle.

A few more answers.
Do both partners need an account?
To use the shared Circle from your own accounts, each partner signs in to Donetick. The joining partner submits a request using the invite link or code, and a Circle administrator approves it.
Can we keep some chores assigned and rotate others?
Yes. You choose the assignees and assignment strategy for individual chores. Your household can keep some responsibilities consistent and rotate others.
